I am a surprisingly popular color; although I'm often associated with urbanity and industrialization, I'm also called a peaceful and neutral color. Because I'm used in so many materials in city structures, I'm considered a color of modernity.
When I'm associated with nature, people often think of smoke and pollution. But I'm also the color of stones and minerals. I'm not only found in dull colors; think of me in metallic tones, too, like silver and reflective steel.
I'm mostly considered a cool color, but somehow I also have the power to bring serenity. I'm right in between black and white, but depending on my darkness, I can be associated with night or day.
Where You Can Find Me
I'm associated with urbanity and industrial settings. Find me in concrete jungles and modern homes, in slate fountains and metal platforms. People often forget that the materials in my color are found in nature, too.
I'm also often associated with dark and gloomy weather. Some people love the haze, the fog, the rain clouds, but others call me grim and dreary. I can set a good mood for mystery movies, for curling up with a book and warm tea, or simply enjoying nature in its dimly lit state. I may not be found on "sunny days" that people love, but I have my own unique and captivating beauty.

Testimonies About Me
"It's a very neutral color but it can also be very beautiful. I saw a sunrise at Joshua Tree National Park one day and it was all various hues of grey. I think it was more beautiful than the most vibrantly colorful scenes I've ever seen."
"It pairs well with other colors."
