My trip to Istanbul was brief, but those few days gave me a taste of local culture and everyday life. I loved the colors and hues that saturated the streets, the buildings, the vendors, and the foods of the city. Istanbul is an array of bright scarlets, pastel pinks and teals, gold and tumeric yellow against a faded backdrop of the same grey that covered our skies.
